Message from the 63rd OSEAL Forum Chairperson
Dear Fellow Lions,
As we eagerly anticipate the 63nd OSEAL Forum in Penang, Malaysia, I extend my warmest greetings to all Lions, Leos, and friends who will gather for this meaningful occasion. The OSEAL Forum has always been a platform where friendship, fellowship, and service come together beyond borders, reminding us of our shared mission as members of the world’s largest service organization.
This gathering is more than a conference. It is a celebration of friendship, of shared purpose, and of the incredible spirit that binds our Lions family together. Each time we gather, we are reminded of the strength of our unity and the limitless potential we unlock when we come together in service.
We are confident that participants will not only experience the warmth of Malaysian hospitality, but also be inspired by the exchange of ideas and the celebration of our service impact across the OSEAL region.
It is a privilege of serving as Chairperson of the 63rd OSEAL Forum. As we look ahead, we have chosen the theme “Bridging the World.” We introduce this theme because the times we live in demand it. Our communities face challenges that do not recognize borders — poverty, health crises, climate change, and the growing need for compassion in a fast-changing world. And yet, every challenge is also an opportunity. We Lions are uniquely placed to build bridges:
Bridges between nations and cultures.
Bridges between generations — Lions and Leos working side by side.
Bridges between communities and those most in need.
These bridges are not just symbolic. They are the pathways through which we deliver hope, dignity, and opportunity. Every service project we undertake is a bridge. Every eye restored to sight, every child given the chance to learn, every forest we protect, every meal we share — these are bridges built with love, commitment, and service.
Here in OSEAL, we are blessed with a rich diversity of cultures, languages, and traditions. And yet, we are united by one common purpose — to serve. This unity in diversity is our strength. It is what allows us not only to bridge the world, but to inspire it.
As we prepare for the 63rd Forum, I invite all of you to carry this vision with you. Let us build bridges that endure, bridges that connect us across borders, bridges that future generations of Lions and Leos will walk upon with pride.
Together, we will ensure that the OSEAL Forum is not just an annual gathering, but a powerful movement that showcases the best of who we are and the best of what we can do.
Let me thank each and every one of you and my dedicated committee for your unwavering dedication to service. You are the living pillars of the bridges we will build.
Let us move forward together with courage, compassion, and vision.
Together, we are “Bridging the World.”
Thank you, and I look forward to welcoming you soon.
Yours in Lionism,
PCC Dato’ OOI Chao Syhuan
